We miss you and can't wait to see you! While we are eager to fire up our grills and open our doors to our dear guests, we don't feel the time is quite right yet. Therefore are waiting until early or mid June to reopen. It is important to us to do our part to keep our employees and guests safe. A Shared Love of Steak

It all started in 1973 when Glen Rubenbauer "Rube" opened a tavern in tiny Montour, Iowa. His philosophy was to allow guests the experience of grilling generously-portioned, hand-cut premium steaks over an indoor, open-hearth grill.

Word of Rube's quickly spread and people couldn't get enough of beefy, flavorful Rube's steaks. Soon, customers wanted to buy Rube's steaks to grill at home and give as gifts to friends and family. So in 1991 Rube's Meat Company opened, and began shipping fresh Rube's steaks nationwide.

 

More than 40 years later, Rube’s Steakhouse is still inspiring social connections around our open-hearth grills. Most importantly, premium corn-fed steak is still at the heart of it all. Through a partnership with Iowa Premium, every steak we serve supports local family farmers raising black Angus within 150 miles of our steakhouse. Come taste the very best beef Iowa has to offer.
